The Tandoor Concept is an innovative way of cooking traditional Indian food to perfection in less time and energy-efficiently, thanks to the Electrolux air-o-convect oven, which allows to achieve and preserve authentic flavor, taste, texture and aroma of Indian cuisine.
The Concept was developed by the Electrolux chefs at the Innovation Center in Gurgaon, and officially unveiled in March 2012 during the 5th National Culinary Congress by IFCA (Indian Federation of Culinary Associations) in Bangalore.
Detailed research was performed to innovate and bring out the Indian flavors and textures. Electrolux chefs, kitchen consultants as well as customers have been engaged in various discussions and workshops to put it to test and are very proud to have an award winning concept.
Today, it’s being spread through a sequence of workshops, events, seminars and exhibitions in India and all around the world. The most recent event, took place at AAHAR, the International Food & Hospitality Fair in India (New Delhi, March 14th - 18th, 2013). The Indian members of the Electrolux Chef Academy will continue to actively promote the Tandoor Concept by wearing new white jackets that display the Tandoor Concept logo.
